Strong Start Sooners Set Down Georgia to Stay Perfect at CWS

OMAHA — The freshman arms stayed hot with Xander Mercurius' 7.1 innings of work as the Sooners (40-22) latched onto an early lead and held off Georgia's (52-13) late push in 4-3 win Monday, June 15 at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. OU moves to 2-0 in the 2026 College World Series, needing one win to advance to the championship series.
