Oklahoma Scores Five Runs in the First and Sixth Inning
CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. — No. 4 Oklahoma (11-1) scored five runs in two different innings while Audrey Lowry and Miali Guachino scattered eight hits in a 11-1 six-inning win against No. 14 Duke (9-5) Friday, Feb. 20.
Kendall Wells homered for the fourth time on the weekend and Nelly McEnroe-Marinas hit a grand slam to close the game as OU tallied its seventh run-rule win of the year.
No. 4 Oklahoma 11, No. 14 Duke 1
The Sooners pounced on Duke early, scoring five runs in the first inning. Wells hit a two-run home run, Duke committed a costly error in the outfield and Ailana Agbayani singled in another run.
