Conference Titles In addition to 26 national championships, the University of Oklahoma has amassed 257 conference titles. The Sooner football team won the school's first conference crown, a Southwest Conference championship, in 1915. It marked the first season ever in a conference for the sport.   Since 1915, OU has claimed 44 conference titles in football, including an unprecedented three consecutive Big 12 crowns in 2006, 2007 and 2008.   Track & Field claimed a national title in 1918 and since that time, men's tennis (33 titles), baseball (25), wrestling (23) men's basketball (20), men's gymnastics (20)  and men's golf (16) have all displayed eras of dominance in conference play.

Women's gymnastics gained three consecutive Big 12 titles in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
