Sophomore outside hitter Tara Dunn became just the third Sooner in program history to total four service aces in a four-set match when she accomplished the feat in OU's win over WVU on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at McCasland Field House.
It was a career-high performance, and the first time a Sooner had recorded four service aces in four sets since Caitlin Higgins did so against Missouri State on Aug. 8, 2011. The first OU player to accomplish the feat was Chrissy Disarro on Sept. 13, 2008 against TCU.
Junior middle blocker Sallie McLaurin leads the Big 12, and is tied for first in the national alongside Creighton's Kelli Browning as the duo each averages 1.70 blocks per set. On the year, she has recorded 12 solo blocks and 90 block assists, for a team-leading 102 total blocks.
The Sooners have maintained a steady blocking game in each of their matches this year, claiming 12 of their 13 wins when they lead their opponents in blocks. On the year, OU has set three new team match records in block assists.
In a three-set sweep versus No. 11 Kansas State, the team totaled 22 block assists; in four sets the Sooners totaled 30 to overcome No. 19 Kentucky, and in a five-set victory over Tulsa the team posted 41 block assists to completely rewrite the Oklahoma record books just five weeks into the 2012 season.

Against Bradley, Chelsey Feeking recorded the first triple-double by a Shocker since 1999 as she notched 10 kills, 37 assists and 13 digs, and was later named the MVC Player of the Week for her efforts.
Wednesday's match will mark the 41st meeting in program history between Oklahoma and Wichita State. The Sooners lead the series against the Shockers 21-19, including a 12-2 record in Norman. In last year's meeting, Wichita State persevered in five (3-2; 25-27, 23-25, 25-18, 29-27, 15-13) to walk away with the win.
The Horned Frogs dropped a four-match win streak on Saturday when it fell to then-No. 19 Iowa State in three (25-19, 25-19, 25-17). TCU is now 13-3 on the year and 2-1 in Big 12 competition. Before they welcome the Sooners, the Horned Frogs travel to Austin, Texas, on Wednesday evening to take on the No. 9 Longhorns.
Although new to the Big 12, TCU and Oklahoma have met five times since 2004, with the Crimson and Cream claiming four of the five meetings and an undefeated, 2-0 record in Fort Worth, Texas. The two teams last met in 2008, as OU took home the win in four.
