NORMAN, Okla. - Sophomore Suzy Boulavsky matched her career high with 15 kills and recorded a new career mark with a .636 hitting percentage as the University of Oklahoma volleyball team rolled past Texas Tech Saturday afternoon, 3-0 [-15,-13,-21]. The Sooners (11-4, 4-2 Big 12) hit .320 and held the Red Raiders (2-10, 0-3 Big 12) to a .093 clip on the afternoon.

"We played really well as a team," said Oklahoma head coach Santiago Restrepo. "We did well all-around - serving, passing and attacking. I think that effort is reflected in our hitting percentage."

In addition to Boulavsky, sophomore Caitlin Higgins added 10 kills and eight digs. Junior Sarah Freudenrich came through for the Sooners with nine kills. The Broken Arrow native, also celebrating her 21st birthday, hit .368 and totaled three blocks, including one block solo.

Junior Francie Ekwerekwu added seven kills and three block assists, while freshman Maria Fernanda contributed match-high 17 digs and a season-high seven assists. Sophomore Brianne Barker added 35 assists and nine digs.

Oklahoma controlled the match from the first serve, never allowing TTU a chance to cut into a lead. The second set featured just one lead change early in the period. The Red Raiders came out of the 10-minute intermission determined to win their first set in conference play, forcing six lead changes and eight ties. In the end, Oklahoma was too tough to take the match in the minimum sets required.

The Sooners continue their homestand Wednesday evening, welcoming 14th-ranked Iowa State to McCasland Field House. First serve between OU and the Cyclones is set for 7 p.m. CT. Live stats are available at SoonerSports.com.
