OU junior Whitney Ritchie begins qualifying rounds Tuesday.
NORMAN, Okla. -- University of Oklahoma women’s tennis junior Whitney Ritchie takes the court Tuesday for qualifying rounds of the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships.
The Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., serves as the host site for the national championship tournament.
Ritchie is one of 64 players competing eight spots in the main draw that begins Oct. 4.
The Sooner must win three matches to advance past qualifying rounds to earn a spot on the 32-member main draw bracket.
Ritchie will begin competition against Virginia’s Maria Fuccillo Tuesday at approximately 12:45 p.m. CT.
