NORMAN, Okla. – The 11th-ranked University of Oklahoma softball team takes on Cal State Northridge Wednesday afternoon. The doubleheader is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. CT at Matador Diamond in Northridge.

Oklahoma enters the series 21-3 on the year. OI is 10-0 at home and the Northridge contests mark the first true road games for OU this season.

THE WEATHER
Wednesday's weather calls for a high of 82 in the San Fernando Valley. The forecast also projects sunny skies and a light wind out of the southeast.

A LOOK INTO THE SERIES HISTORY
Oklahoma leads the series with Cal State Northridge, 6-5. The two teams last met in 2008 at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic. The series is tied 2-2 in games played in Northridge. Oklahoma last visited the CSUN campus in 1986.

UPCOMING GAMES
Oklahoma opens play at the Judi Garman Classic on Thursday against Utah. The Sooners then face No. 2 Arizona Thursday evening and No. 7 Arizona State and San Jose State on Friday. OU closes out the tournament against Virginia on Saturday morning.
