Oklahoma Opens Fall with Win

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma softball team opened the 2013 fall season with a 13-1 win over North Central Texas College on Friday.

Sooner junior Brittany Williams hit a grand slam to begin a 9-run fifth inning for OU, breaking open a 1-1 game.

Senior Michelle Gascoigne started for Oklahoma in the circle, going 4.1 innings with 11 strikeouts, one hit and no earned runs allowed.

Oklahoma will continue play tomorrow beginning at 2:30 p.m. CT against Connors State before playing Oklahoma Christian at approximately 4:45 p.m. CT.
