Lana Moran Position: Student Assistant

After a successful career at the University of Oklahoma, Lana Moran will make the transition to student assistant coach for the OU softball team.

Moran closed out her four-year career with a 67-23 record and six games in 120 appearances. She had a 1.53 ERA and 621.1 innings pitched where she struck out 420 batters and walked only 113.

Even more impressive off the field, Moran was named the GTE Academic All-American of the Year for softball in 2000. She was a four-time academic all-Big 12 selection and two-time GTE first-team Academic All-American.

A native of San Bernardino, Calif., Moran graduated with a bachelor's degree in sociology. She is currently pursuing a master's in human relations.
