Oklahoma Head Coach Patty Gasso
On the game:
"It was a win and a hard fought battle between both teams."
On the play of OU:
"I liked how we answered back in some things. We found a dry spot there for a while and we talked about adjustments and making adjustments and taking ourselves out of our at bats, swinging at things out of the zone and we are better than that. We needed to win that game. Honestly, we are very thankful to squeeze that one out because we were not at our best by any means. I give them (Arkansas) credit but we are very pleased to be in the championship game."
On Arkansas:
"I thought Arkansas came out ready to play. They clutched up when they needed to. I was very impressed with their approach and style. They really gave us fits."
Oklahoma Infielder Savannah Long
On home run in top of 11th:
"My last couple of at bats I had been popping up and popping up. Before I went out Coach MacKay said work on exaggerating and really getting on top of the ball. So my biggest adjustment was staying on top of the ball."
Oklahoma Pitcher D.J. Mathis
On adjusting game plan:
"Lindsey and I adjusted our game plan. We saw they were getting on the curve ball and were muscling other things out. We just really needed to adjust and start working out more by hitting the outside corner and getting them more off balance."
Oklahoma catcher Lindsey Vandever
On the championship game:
"It gives us a lot of excitement to come out tomorrow and play and take all of our aggravation that we had this game and let it loose tomorrow."
