Friday at 7 p.m. Marks First Live Telecast in 2012
NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department announced Tuesday that Sooner Sports TV powered by Fox Sports will televise this weekend's home soccer matches on FS Oklahoma (Cox Ch. 37/722 HD).
The action starts with a live broadcast at 7 p.m. on Friday against Bedlam rival and No.3 ranked Oklahoma State. Chad McKee and Mo Boreham will call the action from John Crain Field at the OU Soccer Complex.
Friday's rivalry is a non-conference game and marks the first of two meetings between the two in 2012. On Sunday, Sept. 30, OSU will host the Sooners for a Big 12 meeting at 7 p.m. in Stillwater.
The second broadcast of the weekend will air on Sunday, Sept. 9, as OU hosts another in-state rival in Oral Roberts at 1 p.m. A tape-delayed broadcast will air on FS Oklahoma at 8 p.m.
"We are very excited to be able to showcase our program, especially against our in-state rivals," said OU Head Coach Matt Potter. "It is a great opportunity for those fans that can't make it out to John Crain Field to catch us on television. It's truly an exciting time for Oklahoma soccer and we hope to see the fans out here this weekend."
