Nicholls State, picked to finish ninth in the Southland Conference preseason coaches' poll, opened its campaign last weekend at South Alabama and dropped a 2-1 contest. The Colonels rebounded with a 5-1 win at Spring Hill College.

Player to Watch - #10 Renae Cuellar | Sr. | F | La Puente, Calif. (Los Altos H.S.)
After two games, the transfer from Arizona is OU's leading scorer with two tallies in the win over Nebraska. Cuellar tied the Nebraska game at one in the first half off a penalty kick and gave OU the season-opening win with a score in the second half. She nearly became the third Sooner in program history to record a hat trick but the potential goal was ruled back.
