If You Only Knew ... Eighth Edition
The Sooners opened the offseason schedule on March 30 with a 3-0 win over Oral Roberts at the OU Soccer Complex in Norman.
In preparation for the spring slate, SoonerSports.com will highlight each of the players on the 2012 squad.
Some of the questions and answers will be soccer related, while others will help fans get to know the Sooners better.
The eighth edition takes a look at senior forward Caitlin Mooney. Read more about her soccer career on the right and get to know her better below:
1. Nickname ... Mooney. Moondawg. Moonpie.
2. Biggest Influence on your life and why ... My mother and my father. They have showed me how to live my life and to be what I am meant to be. They have given me strength and courage, pushed me when times were tough, and basically made me the person I am today. They have given me all the tools to be successful.
3. Strengths ... I am loyal, hard working, loving, caring, fun to be around, devoted daughter and Christian, I don't give up

Weaknesses ... I tend to give people chance after chance, I can be too nice. I let people take advantage of my generosity and kindness
5. Favorite Candy ... Milky Way.
6. Dream holiday ... Going to Atlantis with my family and friends
7. Do you have any heroes? My mother, father, brother, sister, and best friend Kourtney Egge. They are all my heroes. They have all done something in life or gone through something that has made them better people, and did it flawlessly.
8. Do you have any hobbies, if so, please list them ... Yes. Reading, raquetball, spending time with my family and friends
9. Favorite Movie ... The Notebook.
10. Favorite TV show ... Revenge and Grey's Anatomy. Can't choose between the two, they are both amazing!
11. Describe yourself in five words ...Determined, honest, strong, loyal and loving.
12. Name three people you would invite to dinner? Lady Gaga, Ryan Sheckler, and Lamar Odom.
13. Tell us something that we don't know about you?I used to play on a boy's soccer team.

15. In five years you will be ... Playing professional soccer and opening up businesses with my dad.

Caitlin Mooney Bio Brief:
Mooney has been No. 1 or No. 2 on the team in scoring each of the last two seasons after transferring from Maryland following the 2009 season. Last year, Mooney led the team with 17 points and was tied for the team in goals with six. She was also named a Academic All-Big 12 first team honoree.
Mooney was the 2009 Oklahoma Gatorade State Player of the Year after recording four letters at Edmond Sante Fe High School. Prior to helping Marklyand to the Sweet 16 as a freshman, Mooney was selected to the 2008 U.S. U-18 National Team player pool.

Best highlight moment would be when I scored the goal against Texas to send us into the second round of the Big 12 tournament in 2010. Dream highlight moment would be scoring the game winning goal in a big 12 championship or national championship.

Hannah Gordon.
