ABOUT OKLAHOMA
Oklahoma had a 21-13 overall record in 2011-12 and ended its season with a 74-70 loss to St. John's (N.Y.) in the second round of the NCAA Championship. It was OU's 13th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance, a record for a Big 12 Conference team. OU was 11-7 in Big 12 play and finished second to 2012 national champions Baylor. Reserve center Jelena Cerina (3.9 points, 3.6 rebounds) was the lone graduate. Head coach Sherri Coale completed her 16th season, passing a milestone 500th career victory as a head coach in both the high school and college ranks.

TWO ADDED TO SOONERS' ROSTER
The season-ending injuries to four players left the OU women's basketball team with eight remaining on its active roster before the holiday break, but OU volleyball players Tara Dunn and Eden Williams joined the team Dec. 26.

Dunn (Poth, Texas), a 6-2 outside hitter, and Williams (Amarillo, Texas), a 5-3 defensive specialist, were both multi-sport stars in high school. Dunn was a Class 2A All-District MVP and All-State Tournament Team member.
