EIGHT ON ACTIVE ROSTER
The season-ending injuries to four players leave the OU women's basketball team with eight remaining on its active roster.
Unfortunately, it's not uncharted territory for Oklahoma. The 2003 Sooners finished the season with nine players after ACL injuries occured to Erin Higgins and Caton Hill on the same day. That team went 19-13 before losing in the NCAA First Round.
The 2010 Sooners advanced to the Final Four after its roster was whittled to nine players beforing picking up walk-on Kodi Morrison between the winter and spring semesters.
MANNING SUFFERS ACL TEAR
Freshman guard Maddie Manning underwent successful surgery Dec. 13 to repair an ACL tear in her right knee suffered in practice on Nov. 28. Manning had elevated to the starting lineup a week prior for Oklahoma's three games at the Rainbow Wahine Showdown in Honolulu, Hawaii. In her first start versus Arkansas, Manning totaled 10 points and eight rebounds. She followed with outputs of 11 and 12 points, respectively, the next two games.
