GAME PREVIEW
• No. 13 Oklahoma travels to the Aloha State as it plays in the Rainbow Wahine Showdown in Honolulu beginning Friday, Nov. 23. The Sooners face Arkansas, Oregon and Hawaii, respectively, in consecutive days.
• Oklahoma first meets Arkansas Friday, Nov. 23, at 6 p.m. Central (2 p.m. Hawaiian Time). OU faces Oregon Saturday at 6 p.m. and Hawaii Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
• The radio broadcast with Brian Brinkley on play-by-play and Colton Coale as color analyst will air on KEBC 1560 AM Friday and Saturday and KREF 1400 AM Sunday in the Oklahoma City metro area.
• A live webcast of the game will be available to watch online at SoonerSports.tv.

NOTABLE
• Oklahoma head coach Sherri Coale is 359-169 (.680) in her 17th season. She has been the Big 12 Coach of the Year four times.
• Oklahoma is 7-6 all-time when playing in Honolulu, Hawaii. Under Sherri Coale, the Sooners are 5-3 at the Stan Sheriff Center.
• Oklahoma and Arkansas will meet for the 17th time. The Sooners have the lead in the all-time series, 9-7, but have just one win against the Razorback in their last four meetings.
• Oregon and OU will meet for the first time. The Sooners are 0-2 against PAC-12 teams in Honolulu.
• Hawaii and OU will play for the fourth time. All previous meetings have occured in Honolulu.

NEXT GAME
• Oklahoma returns to the Lloyd Noble Center Thursday, Nov. 29, hosting Northwestern (La.) State at 7 p.m. Central. The game will be televised on FS Oklahoma and FS Southwest Plus.

ABOUT OKLAHOMA
Oklahoma had a 21-13 overall record in 2011-12 and ended its season with a 74-70 loss to St. John's (N.Y.) in the second round of the NCAA Championship. It was OU’s 13th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance, a record for a Big 12 Conference team. OU was 11-7 in Big 12 play and finished second to 2012 national champions Baylor. Reserve center Jelena Cerina (3.9 points, 3.6 rebounds) was the lone graduate. Head coach Sherri Coale completed her 16th season, passing a milestone 500th career victory as a head coach in both the high school and college ranks.

TWO ON NAISMITH WATCH
Oklahoma's Aaryn Ellenberg and Whitney Hand are among the college basketball players selected for the Naismith Women's College Player of the Year Early Season Watch List, announced Thursday by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. The 50 player watch list was compiled by the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s Board of Selectors, which based its criteria on player performances from the previous year and expectations for the 2012-2013 college basketball season.

The Naismith Women's College Player of the Year presented by AT&T will be awarded on April 8, 2013, in New Orleans, La. In late February, the Atlanta Tipoff Club's Board of Selectors will compile a mid-season team of the top 30 players in the nation. In March, the Naismith Trophy voting academy will vote to narrow the list to the four finalists...

UCLA ENDS SOONERS' STREAK
UCLA's Thea Lemberger scored 18 and Tulsa, Okla., native Alyssia Brewer totaled 15 points and 16 rebounds as the Bruins held off Oklahoma to end the Sooners' 14-game home opener winning streak on Nov. 14.

The Bruins led by 18 with 12 minutes to play and 13 with 5 to play, but Oklahoma rallied to make it an 80-78 with less than one minute remaining.

DEFENSE DISMANTLES SAINT LOUIS
Oklahoma matched a program record for fewest points allowed in a half when it went to the locker room after 20 minutes leading Saint Louis 40-10. The Sooners held the Billikens to 1-for-19 shooting until the final 2 1/2 minutes of the opening period.

A cold-shooting second half kept the scoring margin from increasing much further as Oklahoma won 68-33.

Nicole Griffin led the Sooners with 15 points. Whitney Hand had 11 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals.

ALL HOME GAMES TELEVISED
Coverage of the University of Oklahoma women’s basketball team will reach a record number of viewers this season as Sooner Sports TV powered by FOX Sports will broadcast at least 16 games on its network.

All of Oklahoma's home games will be televised during the 2012-13 season. Games not selected for a national broadcast on FOX Sports Net or ESPN2 will be produced by Sooner Sports TV for broadcast on FS Southwest, FS Oklahoma or FOX College Sports.

Additionally, OU's three games of the Rainbow Wahine Showdown played in Honolulu, Hawaii, during the Thanksgiving weekend, will be available to fans via live webcasts on SoonerSports.tv. All televised games will also be archived for replay on SoonerSports.tv.

SOONERS POST PERFECT APR SCORE
For the third straight season, OU women's basketball recevied an NCAA Public Regonition Award. This honor is bestowed on teams with an NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. For the second straight season, bsaed on the 2010-11 academic year, Sherri Coale's Sooners had a perfect Academic Progress Rate (1000).

SOONERS SIGN THREE IN EARLY PERIOD
University of Oklahoma women's basketball coach Sherri Coale announced Nov. 14 the signing of three high school seniors to National Letters of Intent. Gioya Carter of Midwest City, Okla., Shaya Kellogg of Ames, Iowa, and Derica Wyatt of Nashville, Tenn., filed NLIs with the Sooners.

"We feel so good about these three athletes," Coale said. "Each brings not only an intense competitive desire to our program but an intense passion for the University of Oklahoma as well. They're a special crew."

Each earned all-state recognition in their junior seasons and are noted for their versatility, a quality that has become a staple of Coale's recruiting classes...
