• Oklahoma and Saint Louis are meeting for the second time.
• The first meeting was an 87-61 Oklahoma victory in St. Louis, Mo., on Dec. 30, 2008. The Sooners later played in the Final Four at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis later that season.
• Oklahoma head coach Sherri Coale is 358-169 (.679) in her 17th season. She has been the Big 12 Coach of the Year four times.
• SLU head coach Lisa Stone is 0-2 in her first season with the Billikens. She has a career record of 503-239 (.678) in 27 years as a head coach. Stone was most recently served eight years as head coach at Wisconsin.

ABOUT OKLAHOMA
Oklahoma had a 21-13 overall record in 2011-12 and ended its season with a 74-70 loss to St. John's (N.Y.) in the second round of the NCAA Championship. It was OU’s 13th consecutive NCAA tournament appearance, a record for a Big 12 Conference team. OU was 11-7 in Big 12 play and finished second to 2012 national champions Baylor. Reserve center Jelena Cerina (3.9 points, 3.6 rebounds) was the lone graduate. Head coach Sherri Coale completed her 16th season, passing a milestone 500th career victory as a head coach in both the high school and college ranks.

SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
Saint Louis begins its first year under head coach Lisa Stone 0-2 with its first venture outside of Missouri coming in Norman, Okla., Sunday. The Billikens lost at Missouri, 67-51, and then to UMKC, 56-53, to start the 2012-13 season.

Junior forward Lorreal Jones leads the Billikens, averaging 15.0 points and 6.0 rebounds. Jones was 8-for-10 for 18 points in SLU’s loss at UMKC.

Courtney Webb adds 13.5 points per game to SLU’s scoring. Webb hit three of seven 3-point attempts and all four free throws for a team-high 17 points off the bench in the team’s season opener at Missouri. In a starting appearance versus UMKC, Webb was 2-for-5 from beyond the arc and had 10 points.

Third-leading scorer Desirae Ball was a three-time Atlantic-10 Rookie of the Week last year after suffering a sitting out the 2010-11 season with an injury. Ball averages 7.0 points and 3.0 assists.

OU-SLU SERIES HISTORY

Oklahoma and St. Louis have met once previously during the 2008-09 season. The Sooners visited St. Louis twice that year, later returning for the Final Four played at the Scottrade Center. Against SLU, Nyeshia Stevenson scored 18 from off the bench while the Paris twins (Ashley, 12 points and 10 rebounds; Coutney, 13 and 11) each totaled a double-double in an 87-61 victory.

UCLA ENDS SOONERS' STREAK
UCLA's Thea Lemberger scored 18 and Tulsa, Okla., native Alyssia Brewer totaled 15 points and 16 rebounds as the Bruins held off Oklahoma to end the Sooners' 14-game home opener winning streak on Nov. 14.

The Bruins led by 18 with 12 minutes to play and 13 with 5 to play, but Oklahoma rallied to make it an 80-78 with less than one minute remaining.

TWO SOONERS ON NAISMITH WATCH
Oklahoma's Aaryn Ellenberg and Whitney Hand are among the college basketball players selected for the Naismith Women's College Player of the Year Early Season Watch List, announced Thursday by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. The 50 player watch list was compiled by the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s Board of Selectors, which based its criteria on player performances from the previous year and expectations for the 2012-2013 college basketball season.

The Naismith Women's College Player of the Year presented by AT&T will be awarded on April 8, 2013, in New Orleans, La. In late February, the Atlanta Tipoff Club's Board of Selectors will compile a mid-season team of the top 30 players in the nation. In March, the Naismith Trophy voting academy will vote to narrow the list to the four finalists...

ALL HOME GAMES TELEVISED
Coverage of the University of Oklahoma women’s basketball team will reach a record number of viewers this season as Sooner Sports TV powered by FOX Sports will broadcast at least 16 games on its network.

All of Oklahoma's home games will be televised during the 2012-13 season. Games not selected for a national broadcast on FOX Sports Net or ESPN2 will be produced by Sooner Sports TV for broadcast on FS Southwest, FS Oklahoma or FOX College Sports.

Additionally, OU's three games of the Rainbow Wahine Showdown played in Honolulu, Hawaii, during the Thanksgiving weekend, will be available to fans via live webcasts on SoonerSports.tv. All televised games will also be archived for replay on SoonerSports.tv.

SOONERS POST PERFECT APR SCORE
For the third straight season, OU women's basketball recevied an NCAA Public Regonition Award. This honor is bestowed on teams with an NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. For the second straight season, bsaed on the 2010-11 academic year, Sherri Coale's Sooners had a perfect Academic Progress Rate (1000).

SOONERS SIGN THREE IN EARLY PERIOD
University of Oklahoma women's basketball coach Sherri Coale announced Nov. 14 the signing of three high school seniors to National Letters of Intent. Gioya Carter of Midwest City, Okla., Shaya Kellogg of Ames, Iowa, and Derica Wyatt of Nashville, Tenn., filed NLIs with the Sooners.

"We feel so good about these three athletes," Coale said. "Each brings not only an intense competitive desire to our program but an intense passion for the University of Oklahoma as well. They're a special crew."

Each earned all-state recognition in their junior seasons and are noted for their versatility, a quality that has become a staple of Coale's recruiting classes...
