Inside the Program: Women's BasketballAug. 25, 2011
NORMAN, Okla. -- The Sooners received their new travel gear Wednesday following an inventory and checkout process conducted by the team's equipment staff. In this video, team manager Ryan Lawrence guides us through the basic duties of equipping the team. He and his staff of four students keep the Sooners looking good by maintaing clean practice and game gear, replacing worn out items and being helping hands during practices. The staff also sets up and breaks down equipment before and after every practice and game, ensuring the coaches and players always have the proper tools available and ready when they step on the court. Lawrence works closely with Nike, OU's official apparel and footwear supplier, to ensure the team is well-fitted for the 32 games, more than 100 practices, and 16 road trips the Sooners will log throughout the year (not including the postseason).
