Fast Break Club Tourney a Success

Supporters raise more than $50,000 for women's basketball program.

NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma women's basketball team and the Fast Break Club wrapped up the 2011-12 season in appropriate fashion ... by hitting the golf course.

The OU coaches, staff and players and title sponsor Barcas Field Services, LLC hosted a sunny day of golf at Norman's own Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.

A total of 132 golfers made up 32 teams raising more than $50,000 for the women's basketball program.

The big winners were:

Low Gross Team
First place: Randy Laffoon, Mark Austin, Cameron Turner, John Austin
Second place: Dan Pennington, Mike Gowens, Tom McCurdy, John McCurdy

Low Net Team
First place: Jim Beckert, Jean Antonides, Michael Ledbetter, Jon Throneberry
Second place: Randy Byford, Jim Woodward, Ronnie Byford, Karen King

The OU women's basketball program would like to thank sponsors, participants and contributors and also wishes to thank Rib Crib for supplying lunch at the golf course.
