GAME PREVIEW
• Oklahoma (20-9, 10-7 Big 12) visits Texas Tech (21-8, 11-6) at United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, Texas, Monday, March 4, at 7 p.m.
• The OU radio broadcast with Brian Brinkley on play-by-play and Colton Coale as color analyst will air on KOKC 1520 AM and KREF 1400 AM in the Oklahoma City metro area.
• A replay of the game will be available to watch online at SoonerSports.tv following the live broadcast.

BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP TICKETS
• Single-Session tickets are priced at $20 and $17, plus fees for reserved seats. All spectators beginning at age 2 must have a ticket to enter the arena. One session will be played on Friday, Sunday and Monday; and two sessions on Saturday.
• Tickets are available through Ticketmaster by calling 1-800-745-3000 or logging on to www.ticketmaster.com. They can also be purchased at the American Airlines Center box office Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. CT.

NOTABLE
• OU claimed its 700th victory in its 39-year history Wednesday, Feb. 20, vs. Kansas State. OU’s all-time record is 701-471 (.598).
• OU graduate Whitney Hand was named to the five-member, inaugural Allstate WBCA Good Works Team.
• OU assistant coach Jan Ross won the 2013 Carol Eckman Award, presented by the WBCA to a member who exemplifies integrity and character through sportsmanship, commitment to the student-athlete, honesty, ethical behavior, courage and dedication.
• Oklahoma and Texas Tech are meeting for the 48th time. The Sooners lead the all-time series 25-22.
• The Sooners have won four straight and 15 of the last 16 games versus the Lady Raiders.
• Oklahoma head coach Sherri Coale is 377-177 (.681) in her 17th season. She has been the Big 12 Coach of the Year four times.
• Kristi Curry is 130-95 (.578) in her seventh season at Texas Tech and 305-146 (.676) in her 14th overall.

NEXT GAME
• Oklahoma earned a first-round bye for the Big 12 Tournament and will begin play in the quarterfinals Saturday, March 9.

CLEAR VISION
Oklahoma’s 85-77 win over Kansas (March 2) captured its eighth consecutive 20-win season and the program’s 18th overall. The win also guaranteed a first-round bye in the Big 12 tournament for the fifth consecutive season.

LAST TIME OUT
Seniors Jasmine Hartman and Joanna McFarland made senior night memorable. Hartman scored a career-high 18 points and McFarland totaled her 10th double-double of the season.

CLOSING ON TWO RECORDS
Aaryn Ellenberg now owns Oklahoma’s top two 3-point shooting seasons and is close to a career record.

Ellenberg has 95 3-pointers in 2012-13, breaking Oklahoma’s single-season record she set as a freshman with 94 in 2010-11.

Ellenberg is five 3-pointers shy of passing Erin Higgins, who totaled 268 through the 2003-07 seasons, for OU’s career record.

Ellenberg is also 16 points shy of passing Caton Hill (2000-04) and Jacquetta Hurley (1983-86), who both scored 1,653 points, for seventh on OU’s career scoring list.

MILESTONE VICTORY
Oklahoma’s 72-57 win over Kansas State on Feb. 20 was the program’s 700th. Three coaches (Amy Dahl, 1; Maura McHugh, 100 and 200; and Burl Plunkett, 300) scored the first four milestone victories while Sherri Coale has coached the last four. Here’s a look at the Sooners’ milestone wins:

An early advantage is important as OU is 16-0 when leading at halftime and 4-9 when tied or trailing. On average, Oklahoma holds opponents to 37.2 percent field goal shooting and 26.9 percent 3-point shooting in first halves. The Sooners have held opponents to 25 or fewer first-half points in nine games and 30 or fewer in 16 games.

DEFENSIVE POSTURE
Of Oklahoma’s 20 wins, 17 have a common thread -- the Sooner defense held its opponent to 40 percent or lower field goal shooting. In OU’s victories, opponents averaged 33.8 percent shooting. In OU’s losses, opponents have connected on an average of 46.8 percent of their shots.

HAND NAMED TO GOOD WORKS TEAM
OU’s Whitney Hand was named to the Inaugural Allstate WBCA Division I Good Works Team, announced by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Feb. 26. The WBCA Good Works Team is composed of women’s basketball student-athletes who make outstanding contributions in the areas of volunteerism and civic involvement. Assistant coach Jan Ross was named winner of the 2013 Carol Eckman Award on Feb. 27. The Carol Eckman Award is presented annually to an active WBCA member coach who exemplifies Eckman’s spirit, integrity and character through sportsmanship, commitment to the student-athlete, honesty, ethical behavior, courage and dedication to purpose. ACROSS-THE-BOARD ACHIEVEMENT
Each of Oklahoma’s 13 sports currently in season is ranked or receiving votes in their respective national polls. Rowing's preseason poll is released in mid-March.

ELLENBERG A NAISMITH AWARD CANDIDATE
University of Oklahoma junior Aaryn Ellenberg was designated one of 30 candidates eligible for the Naismith Women’s College Player of the Year, as announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club Feb. 27. In late March, the Naismith Trophy voting academy will condense the group to four finalists. Read more.

BOARD GAMES
Joanna McFarland averaged 2.0 points, 4.0 rebounds (2-8 FG) before being benched after three games in favor of freshman Maddie Manning. In 26 games since, McFarland averaged 9.7 points and 10.7 rebounds (started last 20 games). She has nine or more rebounds in 21 of those 26 games, and double-digit rebounds in 17 of the last 21 games, including a career-high 16 versus Texas Tech on Jan. 12, Baylor on Jan. 26 and West Virginia on Feb. 3.

Since returning to the starting lineup in the last 20 games, McFarland averages 10.5 points and 11.2 rebounds.

BLOCK PARTY

Aaryn Ellenberg, a 5-7 shooting guard, has eight blocks in her last 16 games. In 82 career games prior, she totaled only three. Quipped Ellenberg: “I think I’m bigger than I am.”
