SOONER EXHIBITING RECORD OFFENSE
Oklahoma displays one of the nation’s most productive offenses. The Sooners rank in the NCAA’s top 25 in scoring, field goal percentage, 3-point field goals per game and 3-point percentage.
Most notable is the Sooners’ 3-point shooting proficiency. With 8.2 makes per game, Oklahoma is on pace to reach its team record (251 made in 2010-11) by the end of the regular season.
OPENING STAND
Oklahoma allows only 28.7 points per first half (scoring defense is 60.8 points per game), holding opponents to 35.0 percent field goal shooting (26.6 percent from 3-point range), while scoring 34.6 points.
The Sooners have held opponents to 25 or fewer first-half points in seven games and 30 or fewer in 11 games.
OU is 11-0 when leading at halftime and 4-3 when trailing.

Of Oklahoma’s 15 wins, 14 have a common thread -- the Sooner defense held its opponent to 40 percent or lower field goal shooting. The Sooners won at TCU 85-79 when the Horned Frogs shot 44.6 percent.
In OU’s victories, opponents have averaged 33.3 percent from the field. In OU’s three losses, they’ve made 44.4 percent of their shots.
EASY AS 1, 2, 3
Junior guard Aaryn Ellenberg is one of the nation’s top 3-point shooters, and is using the shot most effectively at this point of her career. Ellenberg leads the Big 12 in 3-point field goals per game (3.6) and 3-point field goal shooting (.454),and ranks third and ninth, respectively, in the NCAA in those categories.
Nearly 55 percent of Ellenberg’s attempts come from 3-point range, a 13 percent rise over the 42 percent she shot as a sophomore. Ellenberg took 46 percent of her attempts from beyond the arc when she set Oklahoma’s single-season record for 3-pointers (94) as a freshman.
Despite the additional attempts from deep range, Ellenberg’s 3-point percentage is nine percent better than last year’s .368.

Joanna McFarland averaged 2.0 points, 4.0 rebounds (2-8 FG) before being benched after three games in favor of freshman Maddie Manning. In 15 games since, McFarland averages 9.4 points and 9.3 rebounds (started last nine games). She has nine or more rebounds in 11 of those 15 games, and double-digit rebounds in seven of the last 10 games, including a career-high 26 versus Texas Tech on Jan. 12.

Coverage of the University of Oklahoma women's basketball team will reach a record number of viewers this season as Sooner Sports TV powered by FOX Sports will broadcast at least 16 games on its network.
All of Oklahoma's home games will be televised during the 2012-13 season. Games not selected for a national broadcast on FOX Sports Net or ESPN2 will be produced by Sooner Sports TV for broadcast on FS Southwest, FS Oklahoma or FOX College Sports.
