• No. 16 Oklahoma (14-3, 4-1) hosts Texas (7-9, 0-5) Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla.

CHEER LIKE A CHAMPION
Saturday versus Texas is Oklahoma's annual Cheer Like a Champion Game. Each of the Lloyd Noble Center's 12,000 seats will have a commemorative white t-shirt available for fans to wear as they cheer on the Sooners.

• Season tickets are available for a low as $119. Tickets may be purchased online at SoonerSports.com or by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-456-GoOU.
• Single-game tickets are available with prices beginning at $5 for general admission seating.
• OU students receive free admission at Oklahoma home games when presenting a valid ID.

NOTABLE
• Oklahoma and Texas are meeting for the 44th time. Oklahoma has won twice straight against Texas in Norman.
• Texas leads the overall series 23-20; however, OU has the advantage in the Big 12 Era, 19-18.
• Oklahoma leads the series in Norman, 10-8, and has won five of the last six meetings overall.
• Oklahoma head coach Sherri Coale is 371-171 (.685) in her 17th season. She has been the Big 12 Coach of the Year four times.
• Karen Aston (7-9) is in her first year at Texas after coming from North Texas. She is 108-72 (.600) in her sixth year as a head coach.

SOONER EXHIBITING RECORD OFFENSE
Oklahoma displays one of the nation's most productive offenses. The Sooners rank in the NCAA's top 25 in scoring, field goal percentage, 3-point field goals per game and 3-point percentage.

Most notable is the Sooners' 3-point shooting proficiency. With 8.2 makes per game, Oklahoma is on pace to reach its team record (251 made in 2010-11) by the end of the regular season.

OPENING STAND

Oklahoma allows only 28.8 points per first half (scoring defense is 61.1 points per game), holding opponents to 34.6 percent field goal shooting (26.6 percent from 3-point range), while scoring 34.7 points.

The Sooners have held opponents to 25 or fewer first-half points in seven games and 30 or fewer in 10 games.

OU is 10-0 when leading at halftime and 4-3 when trailing.

Of Oklahoma's 14 wins, 13 have a common thread -- the Sooner defense held its opponent to 40 percent or lower field goal shooting. The Sooners won at TCU 85-79 when the Horned Frogs shot 44.6 percent.

In OU's victories, opponents have averaged 33.0 percent from the field. In OU's three losses, they've made 44.4 percent of their shots.

EASY AS 1, 2, 3
Junior guard Aaryn Ellenberg is one of the nation's top 3-point shooters, and is using the shot most effectively at this point of her career. Ellenberg leads the Big 12 in 3-point field goals per game (3.6) and 3-point field goal shooting (.452),and ranks third and 13th, respectively, in the NCAA in those categories.

Nearly 55 percent of Ellenberg's attempts come from 3-point range, a 13 percent rise over the 42 percent she shot as a sophomore. Ellenberg took 46 percent of her attempts from beyond the arc when she set Oklahoma's single-season record for 3-pointers (94) as a freshman.

Despite the additional attempts from deep range, Ellenberg's 3-point percentage is 10 percent better than last year's .368.

Joanna McFarland averaged 2.0 points, 4.0 rebounds (2-8 FG) before being benched after three games in favor of freshman Maddie Manning. In 14 games since, McFarland averages 9.0 points and 9.7 rebounds (started last eight games). She has nine or more rebounds in 11 of those 13 games, and double-digit rebounds in seven of the last nine games, including a career-high 26 versus Texas Tech on Jan. 12.

Since returning to the starting lineup in the last eight games, McFarland averages 10.6 points and 10.3 rebounds.

Coverage of the University of Oklahoma women's basketball team will reach a record number of viewers this season as Sooner Sports TV powered by FOX Sports will broadcast at least 16 games on its network.

All of Oklahoma's home games will be televised during the 2012-13 season. Games not selected for a national broadcast on FOX Sports Net or ESPN2 will be produced by Sooner Sports TV for broadcast on FS Southwest, FS Oklahoma or FOX College Sports.
