BOULDER, Colo. (AP) -- One good spurt was all Oklahoma needed.

Courtney Paris had 19 points and 14 rebounds, her 109th consecutive double-double, and the Sooners (No. 2 ESPN/USA Today, No. 3 AP) pulled away in the second half for a 72-58 victory against Colorado Wednesday night.

The score was 28-28 at the break, but the Sooners (15-2, 4-0 Big 12) started the second half with a 17-0 run.

Oklahoma coach Sherri Coale described her team's first-half performance as "uninspired."

"We didn't have a sense of urgency," she said. "We had a hard time getting into things. We just weren't sharp."

She said was irritated by the halftime score but felt better in the second, when her team found its rhythm.

"I think the difference in play from half one to half two for us was that we sped the game up and got it going at a pace we are a little more comfortable with," Coale said.

Whitney Hand added 13 points and seven rebounds and Ashley Paris had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Sooners. Danielle Robinson added 10 points for Oklahoma, which had at least four players score in double figures for the 10th straight game.

Hand said the team "as a whole wasn't ready for the first few intervals of the game."

"I think the second half we came out knowing that obviously we had to play better to beat them, so it was basically a difference of effort overall," Hand said.

Brittany Spears led the Buffaloes (8-8, 0-4) with 21 points, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range, and six rebounds. Bianca Smith added 15 points and Alyssa Fressle had 12 points.

Colorado coach Kathy McConnell-Miller said both teams got tired in the second half, but the Buffaloes didn't have the depth to keep up with the Sooners.

"I think their bench is a little bit deeper than ours," she said. "We executed efficiently in the first half, but in the first six minutes [of the second half], we got away from that."

Oklahoma shot 51 percent. Colorado was 40 percent from the field, but stayed in the game by making 55 percent from 3-point range.
