Oklahoma beat Nebraska, 77-56, to improve to 12-2 overall and 1-0 in Big 12 play.  The Sooners are 11-2 all-time in Big 12 openers.

The Sooners opened with a 15-0 run lasting the first seven minutes of the game.  It was the second straight game Oklahoma opened with a double-digit run after gaining a 13-0 lead on North Carolina Central on Jan. 4. OU has scored first in four consecutive games.

With 18 points and 20 rebounds, Courtney Paris recorded her 106th consecutive double-double, the 111th in her 114 career games.

Courtney Paris recorded a double-double in the first half alone with 10 points and 15 rebounds.  It was the 14th time Paris has reached halftime with a double-double and the 34th time for any half.  Paris’ 15 first-half rebounds eclipsed all but two of her single-game totals this season.

Courtney Paris’ 12 offensive rebounds set a new career single-game best.

Whitney Hand matched a career best with four assists.

Ashley Paris matched a career best with three steals.
