Oklahoma hosts No. 3 Connecticut for its Sixth Annual Pack the Place Pink night as women's basketball raises awareness for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and fighting women's cancers. The game will be televised to a national audience on ESPN2 with Pam Ward and Rebecca Lobo calling the action. The Sooner Sports Network radio broadcast with Brian Brinkley airs on KOKC 1520 and KREF 1400 AM in Oklahoma City and Norman.

Clutch Plays Save Sooner Victory

Morgan Hook never saw the screen coming. The Sooner guard ran straight into Missouri's BreAnna Brock and quickly went from upright to prone. For a moment, it looked like she was knocked out as she lay motionless on the court as the play continued on around her. It took awhile, but Hook finally got up.

Junior forward Joanna McFarland missed six games with a broken jaw, suffered during the Oklahoma State game five weeks ago. She returned to action Monday against Baylor, but has since had her first full practices and will be playing at home for the first time since Jan. 11. Until her injury, McFarland was averaged 11.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 69 percent 3-point shooting in Big 12 play.

Kornet Invited to WBCA All-America Game

Oklahoma women's basketball signee Nicole Kornet will be a participant in the 2012 WBCA High School All-American Game, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Wednesday.The 21st Annual All-America Game features the nation's top 20 high school senior girls' basketball players.Kornet, rated by scouting services as highly as the No. 5 guard and No. 19 overall in the Class of 2012, has averaged 21 points and seven rebounds for Liberty Christian (Argyle, Texas) this season.

No. 1 Baylor claimed the 24th victory of its so far undefeated season, dispatching Oklahoma 81-54 Monday night. Brittney Griner 27 points, hitting 13 of 13 at the free throw line, and Destiny Williams added 15 points as the Lady Bears overpowered the Sooners inside the Ferrell Center.Whitney Hand led Oklahoma with 20 points and freshman Sharane Campbell scored 13, but no other Sooners managed more than two field goals as foul trouble doomed Sherri Coale's gameplan from the start.

Campbell Snags Fourth Weekly Award

Oklahoma's Sharane Campbell was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week, voted by a media panel for games played Jan. 30-Feb. 5, Monday by the conference office.It is the fourth such award for Campbell, who led the Sooners to two victories last week at Kansas and versus Oklahoma State. The freshman averaged 21.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while hitting 74 percent (14-of-19) of her field goal attempts.Campbell connected on eight of 10 shots for a career-high 23 points in OU's 78-64 overtime win at Kansas. She totaled five points in overtime as OU outscored Kansas 10-4 in the extra period. Campbell also had a career-high four steals in the contest.

Cerina The Latest Sooner Surprise
