NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma wrestling team, ranked No. 11 in the latest USA Today/NWCA/AWN Division I Coaches Poll, travels to Brockport, N.Y., this weekend for the annual Brockport/Oklahoma Invitational Wrestling Tournament held in the Special Events Recreation Center on Brockport's campus. Wrestling will begin at 9 a.m. CT on Sat., Nov. 10.

This year's tournament will consist of six teams: Oklahoma, Brockport, Maryland, Army, American and Buffalo.

Two of this year's six teams enter the tournament ranked in the USA Today/NWCA/AWN Division I Coaches Preseason Poll, with OU leading the way at No. 11 followed by No. 15 Maryland. American received 17 votes in the preseason voting process.

The Sooners are the only team to ever take home the prestigious Brockport/Oklahoma Invitational title, as they have taken home the championship all 13 years.

Five Sooners claimed individual titles in last year's heart-pounding team victory over Maryland in the final match of the night. In addition to Oklahoma's team victory, Kendric Maple was named last year's Most Outstanding Wrestler.

Both Maple and Matt Lester, at 141 and 157 pounds, respectively, look to defend their 2011 titles at this year's Brockport/Oklahoma Invitational.

The Sooners return to the mat with a 1-0 record, courtesy of a 38-3 season debut against Oklahoma City University.

Heading into the Invitational, five Sooners are ranked to begin the season by Amateur Wrestling News.

Kendric Maple tops all 141-pounders, and marks the lone Sooner with a No. 1 ranking. At 149 pounds, Nick Lester jumps into the top-10 with a seventh-place ranking while brother, Matt Lester, settles in at No. 11 in the 157-pounders. Bubby Graham also secures a top-10 ranking for the Crimson and Cream with a No. 6 spot before his name in the 165 category. Cody Brewer takes the No. 19 spot in the 133-pound weight class.
