Redshirted...Tallied an 11-9 record competing unattached in open tournaments at 125 pounds...Earned fourth place at the Utah Valley and Roger Denker Opens, going a combined 6-4 against competition...Also competed at the Central Missouri and Missouri Opens...Recorded five falls on the season...Also recorded three major decision versus foes.

High School: Compiled a 173-34 record at Peachtree Ridge, lettering all four years ... Was a state champion and two-time state finalist ... Earned All-American honors three times ... Named Rookie and Athlete of the Year at Peachtree, as well as a two-time wrestler of the year.

Personal: Born Feb. 27, 2008 to DeAnne and Craig Sartain ... Zoology is his planned major ... Pasta is his favorite food and wrestling is his favorite hobby ... Nickname is "Sartain" and his dog is his most prized possession ... Destin, Fla., is his favorite vacation destination and Never Back Down is his favorite movie ... Chose to wrestle at OU because of athletics, academics and the tradition.
