AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2012-13):
Wrestled up at 165-pounds in OU's dual against No. 9 Virginia Tech...Tallied the first tech fall of his redshirt sophomore campaign after he took down WVU's Jason Luster, 18-2 in 4:51 in a matchup that saw DeAngelis claim his first career Big 12 win...Dropped one bout at the Brockport/Oklahoma Invitational to take the runner-up spot in the 157-pounders behind teammate Matt Lester...Captured his first victory of the 2012 season when he topped Oklahoma City's Mark Meyer with a 16-5 decision.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2011-12):
Competed in the 149 lb. weight class at 2011 Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic where he beat Maryland's Danny Orem 15-5 before losing to American's Kevin Tao 8-2...Also took to the mat again against Buffalo's Clay Reeb and won 5-2, defeated Buffalo's Wally Maziarz 7-2, and lost to Maryland's Ben Dorsay 9-4 at the 2011 Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic...Lost to American's Kevin Tao 4-2 to finish sixth in weight class...Defeated Appalachian State's Savva Kostis 8-5 at the 2012 Lone Star Duals...Participated in 2011 Ken Kraft Midlands Championships where he dropped decisions to Iowa's Mike Kelly 7-3 and Adams State's Josh Hensley 8-3.
