Posted a 2-2 record on the season ... Recorded a 1-2 record at the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic ... Went 1-0 in his only dual start of the season against Nebraska-Kearney's Ben Hohensee at the Lonestar Duals ... Outscored opponents 24-20 on the season.

As a Freshman (2008-09)
Tallied a 12-0 record competing unattached in open tournaments in the heavyweight division...Three victories came by fall...Earned first place medals at the Lindenwood, Oklahoma and Roger Denker Open...Was awarded "Most Outstanding Freshman" honor at the postseason banquet.

High School: Lettered all four years in high school ... Was a two-time undefeated state champion ... Compiled a 120-15 overall record ... Also played football, ran track and was a power lifter ... "Joe Bach, we think, is going to be one of the great surprises of this class. He kind of flew under the radar even though he was undefeated the last two years in winning two Kansas state championships. Actually, with one exception this year, was unscored on. Most people thought he was going to choose football so he was no given a great deal of attention. We think that Joe has the potential to be a great one."
