NORMAN, Okla. -- The No. 6 University of Oklahoma men’s tennis team completes its road stretch this weekend with a matchup against No. 41 Louisville Friday, March 8, at 5 p.m. CT in Louisville, Ky.

“If we go out and do the same thing as last weekend and play at the same level, we’ll have a really good chance again this weekend,” OU head coach John Roddick said.

The Sooners (9-3) enter the match against the Louisville Cardinals (9-7) after falling to No. 1 Virginia, 6-1, in Charlottesville, Va., Sunday, March 3.

“If you look at it a little more in-depth, we were pretty close,” senior Costin Paval said. “We had three matches in the third set and we were a little bit unlucky with the doubles point.”

Louisville enters the match after defeating No. 75 Indiana, 4-3, at home, improving their home win streak to 16 matches.

The Cardinals have one ranked singles player, No. 101 Sebastian Stiefelmeyer, and a ranked doubles tandem, No. 48 Albert Wagner and Alex Gornet.

The Sooners return home Tuesday, March 12, to face the No. 26 Florida State Seminoles at 5:30 p.m.
