Current OU football season ticket holders have an exclusive window to reserve tickets.
NORMAN, Okla. -- Time is quickly winding down for OU football season-ticket holders and their exclusive window for the purchase of Sooner bowl tickets. The University of Oklahoma ticket office is currently accepting bowl ticket reservations from OU football season-ticket holders before remaining bowl tickets go on sale to the general public on Sunday, Dec. 2.
Season-ticket holders are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this window to reserve bowl tickets by visiting the ticket office during normal business hours, or by phone at (800) 456-GoOU or (405) 325-2424.
It is anticipated that the ticket office will be open on Sunday evening to begin taking ticket orders from the general public once OU's bowl destination is announced. ESPN's BCS Selection Show will air Sunday at 7:30 p.m. CT. It is anticipated that Oklahoma will officially know its bowl destination and opponent at that time.
This season will mark the 14th-consecutive bowl game for the Sooners under Coach Stoops. All 13 of Bob Stoops' previous Sooner teams advanced to bowl games (1999-2011) including eight BCS and four national championship games. None of Stoops' predecessors took even his first three teams to bowl play.
The Sooners will make their 46th bowl appearance this season, their 14th straight bowl bid under head coach Bob Stoops. The Sooners have an all-time bowl record of 27-17-1. Oklahoma has won three straight bowl games under Stoops and is seeking to tie a school record with a fourth consecutive bowl victory.
Oklahoma concludes its regular season schedule with a contest at TCU on Saturday. A win in that contest would guarantee the Sooners a share of their eighth Big 12 championship.
