NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford, who suffered a concussion in last Saturday's game at Texas Tech, has been cleared by physicians to resume competition. The Sooners host Oklahoma State in the regular season finale Saturday.

"Everything has checked out and barring any unforeseen circumstances Sam will play this week," said OU head coach Bob Stoops.

Bradford has burst onto the college scene in his redshirt freshman season. He leads the nation in passing efficiency and is completing 70% of his passes.

The Oklahoma City product has fired 28 touchdown passes against just six interceptions and is just one TD pass shy of tying the NCAA record for a freshman.

Bradford has established OU records for passing yards by a freshman with 2,520 and consecutive pass completions with 22. He tied a school mark by throwing five touchdown passes against North Texas.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State kick off at 2:30 p.m., Saturday on FSN. Should the Sooners win they will claim the Big 12 South title and advance to the Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship game at San Antonio on Dec, 1.
