Oklahoma's Malcolm Kelly and Auston English have been named to CBSSportsline.com's College Football Halfway All-America Team that was announced Wednesday. The team recognizes standout players at the mid-point of the season.
Last week, OU offensive tackle Phil Loadholt was named to the CNNSI.com Mid-Season All-America Team. English was a second-team pick on that squad.
Kelly, a wide recevier, has 27 receptions for 512 yards and eight touchdowns this season. The junior from Longview, Texas, has exceeded 100 receiving yards in three games and also has multiple touchdown grabs in three contests.
Kelly has moved into second place on OU's career touchdown receptions list with 20. He trails only Mark Clayton, now of the Baltimore Ravens, who logged 31.
English, a defensive end, ranks No. 9 nationally with 1.1 sacks per game and No. 11 in tackles for loss with 1.6. He has a total of 7.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss.
The Canadian, Texas, sophomore excelled in games against ranked opponents. He had a career-high nine tackles and 1.5 sacks against No. 11 Missouri and two sacks against No. 19 Texas.
Oklahoma travels to Iowa State this weekend to take on Iowa State. The 11:30 a.m., kickoff is slated for Fox Sports Net.
