OU Releases 2011 Football Schedule

Sooners open season September 3 by hosting Tulsa at Owen Field in Norman.

NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma today announced its 2011 football schedule. The 12-game slate features six home games. Due to the adjustment to the Big 12 schedule and ongoing discussions with television partners, the release of the schedule has been delayed by several months.

"We appreciate the patience of our fans as we completed this process," said Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics and Athletics Joe Castiglione. "We encountered unusual circumstances this year, but those circumstances were unavoidable. We now feel like we have a schedule that provides good rhythm and continuity for our fans and team, and yet still provides great exposure for us through television."
