In 1999: Played in all 12 games either with the defense, on special teams or both … Recorded 22 total tackles and three tackles for loss … Began the season as the starting Sam linebacker … Received the starting assignment in four of the first five contests … Posted 16 tackles in those games … Had just six tackles the remainder of the year.

In 1998: Played in 10 games … Missed only the Baylor contest because of a nagging injury … Gave another solid performance as the field general on defense … Ended the year as OU’s fourth ranked tackler with 67 takedowns … Also ranked fourth on the team with 32 unassisted tackles … Had three tackles for loss, two sacks and three quarterback hurries on the season … Began the year in grand fashion with a career-high 12 tackles in the season opener against North Texas … Picked up 11 tackles on a very rainy night at Texas A&M … Also recorded one tackle for loss and a sack in that contest … Added eight tackles against TCU and Iowa State.
