2005 - Took over as the holder on placements prior to the Holiday Bowl game ... won the most inspirational walk-on and scout team player of the year awards.

2004 - Redshirted.

High School - Got the starting job in the final game of his junior season ... threw for 1,800 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior ... also played basketball (point guard) and participated in track and field (high jump) ... football coach was Steve Davis.

The Wrap-up: Born June 4, 1984 ... son of Randy and Jenna McEachern ... his father played quarterback at Texas and his mother was a cheerleader for the Longhorns ... his mother edited Mack Brown's first book and is also editing his second ... both of his grandfathers played Division I football (paternal at TCU, maternal at North Texas) and both were high school coaches ... majoring in film and video studies.
