In 2000: Played in all but three games … Missed those due to an injury … Fought back to regain his starting position for the final four games of the season … Recorded 14 tackles, four tackles for loss and one sack despite limited action … Also had five pass deflections and seven quarterback pressures … Best game of the year came in OU’s win over Texas Tech when he had three tackles, two pass breakups and two pressures … One of his pass deflections wound up in the hands of J.T. Thatcher … Was returned 85 yards for a TD … Recorded two tackles and three pressures against Florida State in the Orange Bowl.

In 1999: Played in 11 games overall, including the last nine as a starter at right tackle … Finished the season with a career-high 27 tackles … Registered 14 unassisted tackles … Also had five tackles for loss, four sacks and four pass deflections … Ended the season ranked 11th on the squad in tackles … Best game of the year came at Colorado when he logged six tackles and one tackle for loss … Also had five tackles against Texas … Had just a pair of tackles against Mississippi in the Independence Bowl.

In 1998: Saw very little action … Was put into the rotation following injuries to several members of the defensive front … Had one tackle and his first career sack in the season finale against Texas Tech in Norman.

In 1997: Redshirted.

In high school: Rated as one of the top 50 players in the state by The Daily Oklahoman following his senior season … Earned All-Big City Defensive Player of the Year honors from the same publication … First-team All-State, all-conference and all-district while playing in the offensive and defensive lines … Was co-MVP of the district … Recorded 199 tackles, 10 sacks and five fumble recoveries in his career … A three-year starter who helped his school finish second in the Class 6A playoffs as a junior … Had a combined 24-11 record with him in the lineup … Coached by Bob Wilson … Also a standout basketball and baseball player … Played in the Faith Seven basketball all-star game as a senior … Also hit .413 with two home runs on the diamond that same year.
