The Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award is given annually
in the United States to the nation's outstanding senior
quarterback in college football. It was established
in 1987 by a foundation named for Johnny Unitas, the
Hall of Fame quarterback who played his college career
at the University of Louisville, and set many records
in the NFL, mostly for the Baltimore Colts.

Jason White won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award
as the best senior quarterback in college football
for the 2004 season.
White completed 65.3 percent of his passes for 2,961 yards and 33 touchdowns in 2004. White led OU to its second consecutive undefeated regular season and its second consecutive berth in the BCS National Championship Game. The Tuttle, Okla., native also fired three touchdowns in the 2004 Big 12 Championship Game as the Sooners defeated Colorado, 42-3, in Kansas City for the title.
White, the 2003 Heisman Trophy winner, has a 27-3 career record as a starter. He has thrown for 7,678 yards and 79 touchdowns in his career.
