Mike Vaughan, OT - 1975, 1976
Mike Vaughan was named a consensus All-American in 1976. He was also part of The Football News All-America team in 1975. Considered the key component of the Sooners' offensive line that led them to a national title in 1975, he was also part of the 1974 National Championship team.
He was nicknamed "USS Vaughan" because of his huge size and destructive ability. He was also part of the All-Big Eight teams in both 1975 and '76. During his career at OU, the Sooners had a record of 30-3-1.
He was drafted by the New York Giants in the fourth round in 1977.
