All-American: Louis Oubre

Rufus Alexander
Louis Oubre

Louis Oubre, OT - 1980
Versatile and athletic, Louis Oubre was an all-around standout on the offensive line. Quick feet made him a nimble pass blocker, while his explosiveness proved effective in opening holes for the OU ground game.

Oubre's All-American season resulted in a 10-2 record and an 18-17 victory over Florida State in the Orange Bowl. That 1980 team rushed for 5.7 yards per carry, still one of the best figures ever posted at Oklahoma.

Oubre was drafted in the fifth round of the 1981 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.
