Danté Jones, LB - 1987
Danté Jones earned consensus All-America and All-Big Eight honors in 1987. In the 1987 Orange Bowl he was named the Most Valuable Lineman with nine unassisted tackles, an interception and a pass broken up as OU routed Arkansas 42-8.
During the 1987 season he led the Sooners with 118 tackles. In the final regular season game of his career, Jones dominated the highly touted, No. 1-ranked Nebraska Cornhusker offense. He finished the game with 12 tackles, 10 unassisted, and an interception.
He was drafted in the second round by the Chicago Bears in 1988.
