Texas Tech upset No. 3 Oklahoma in Lubbock.
With the 34-27 loss to Texas Tech, Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops' record against Texas Tech fell to 6-3. Oklahoma has won seven of the last nine between but have lost the last two meetings in Lubbock. The Sooners are now 4-3 in Lubbock.
Junior Lendy Holmes' first-quarter interception return marked the fifth Sooner defensive touchdown (3 INT, 2 FR) of the season. That ties the Oklahoma record for most defensive touchdowns in a season established in the 1956, 2000 and 2001 seasons.
Junior Cory Bennett recovered his first career fumble in the second quarter after recovering Aaron Crawford's fumble at OU's own 40-yard line.
With his two field goals, senior Garrett Hartley moved into a tie with Trey DiCarlo (2002-04) for fourth all-time at OU for career field goals made with 43. Hartley had previously been tied with Scott Blanton (1991-94).
With his 65-yard TD reception junior WR Manuel Johnson recorded his third TD of the season, all coming in the last two weeks. Johnson hauled in TD catches of 60 and 13 yards last week versus Baylor.
Junior QB Joey Halzle set a career high in passing yards and touchdowns with 291 yards and two TDs against Tech. Entering Saturday's game, Halzle had 148 career passing yards. Halzle's previous yardage high was 95 yards in OU's 51-13 win over Miami which also saw the QB throw his first career TD pass, a 61-yard strike to Adron Tennell.

With his 115 kickoff return yards, junior Juaquin Iglesias set the OU record for most kick return yards in a season with 551 yards. Brandon Daniels had previously held the record with 508 yards in 1999. Iglesias is fifth on the OU career list with 914 yards, Buster Rhymes (1980-84) tops the chart with 1,237 yards.
Iglesias 115 kickoff return yards marked the second time this season and the third time in his career to eclipse the century mark. Iglesias picked up 110 return yards against Miami this season and 111 against Baylor in 2006.
RB DeMarco Murray made a significant climb in the OU kick return yards for a season with his 76 return yards Saturday night. The RS freshman moved up to fourth on the list with 439 yards on the season. Antwone Savage is third with 448 yards in 2001.
With 11 tackles Saturday, junior linebacker Curtis Lofton recorded his eighth double-digit tackle game of the season establishing a new Sooner record. Lofton had previously been tied with current OU defensive line coach Jackie Shipp (1981) and Daryl Hunt (1977).
With his 123 tackles on the season, Lofton moves to fourth in tackles in a season under Stoops. Lance Mitchell is third with 124 tackles in 2002.
Lofton's third-quarter interception marked his second career pick, both coming this season. Lofton returned his first career interception 45 yards for a touchdown against Utah State.\

- Saturday's attendance marked the fourth largest in Texas Tech history.
114 - Mike Knall's second-quarter 60-yard punt and his 54-yard punt in the first marked the junior's longest punts at Oklahoma. Knall's previous long was 46 yards against Utah State on Sept. 15.
78 - OU has at least one interception in 78 of the last 102 games under Bob Stoops.
32 - With its two interception of Texas Tech QB Graham Harrell, the Oklahoma defense has now recorded mutliple picks in 32 of its last 72 outings. It marked the seventh game for the OU "D" to do so this season.
27 - With Manual Johnson's 65-yard TD reception in the fourth quarter, Oklahoma recorded its 27th play (offense and defense) and 14th touchdown of 40-plus yards. On the season, OU has 53 plays of 20 yards or longer.
1 - RS freshman DE Pryce Macon made his first career appearance in the third quarter following the injury to junior DE Alan Davis. Macon was credited with one quarterback hurry.
