Sooners to host Terry Evans-coached Bronchos Wednesday at 7 p.m. on campus; OU student tickets free.
Nov. 5, 2012
NORMAN, Okla. -- Tickets remain for Wednesday's Field House Series men's basketball game vs. Central Oklahoma and are just $5 for the general public.
OU student tickets for the contest, to be played at 7 p.m. inside historic McCasland Field House in the heart of OU's campus, are free. All fans, including OU students, must possess a physical ticket to gain entrance. Securing a ticket in advance of arriving at the Field House is strongly recommended.
All public seats for Wednesday's game are reserved. Tickets are available by clicking here or by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 456-4668. Tickets may also be purchased before the game outside the Field House's south entrance.
Free OU student tickets are available here until 2 p.m. Wednesday and at the west entrance before the game, while supplies last. Student seating will be general admission in sections 14-18 (north baseline) and sections E, F and G (upper south).
Former OU great Alvan Adams will headline a group of Field House-era players who will attend Wednesday's game and be recognized at halftime. Joining Adams, who played at OU from 1973-75 and left after his junior year as the school's all-time leading scorer and rebounder, will be Steve Ayers, Dean Blevins, Bob Campbell, Paul Crowell, Eddie Evans, Bobby Jack, Scott Martin, Mike McCurdy, Rick McNeil, Bob Pritchard and Jerry Vest.
The Sooners, coming off an 83-66 win over Washburn on Friday, will face a UCO squad coached by former OU point guard Terry Evans. Evans played at OU from the 1989-90 through 1992-93 seasons under head coach Billy Tubbs and is the school's all-time leader in 3-point field goals (259) and assists (651). He also ranks No. 2 in career steals (265).
Oklahoma will play a second Field House Series game on Dec. 31 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Tickets for that contest, which will tip off at 2 p.m., will be available to the public at a later date.
