NORMAN, Okla. -- Lon Kruger's University of Oklahoma men's basketball team will host an intrasquad scrimmage Saturday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. inside the Howard McCasland Field House, prior to OU's home football game vs. Kansas. The OU Men's Basketball Field House Scrimmage presented by Arvest Bank will be open to the public and free. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m.

The scrimmage will provide fans the first opportunity to watch the 2012-13 Sooners go head-to-head in a game-type situation. Four 10-minute quarters will be played, with no break for halftime.

The Sooners return their top six scorers from last season, including all five starters. They welcome back 88 percent of their scoring, 81 percent of their rebounding and 78 percent of their assists.

OU begins its 2012-13 season with a home exhibition game on Friday, Nov. 2 against Washburn at 7 p.m.  The Sooners will be back at McCasland Field House two more times against outside competition as part of the Field House Series -- Nov. 7 against Central Oklahoma (exhibition) and Dec. 31 vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

The first 500 fans attending the Oct. 20 scrimmage will receive a free Field House Series t-shirt, courtesy of Arvest Bank. All fans will receive the men's basketball team's 2012-13 schedule poster and pocket schedule.

Oklahoma's football game against Kansas that day kicks off at 6 p.m. OU's Homecoming parade will begin immediately after the scrimmage at 3 p.m.

For 2012-13 ticket information, fans may call the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 456-4668 or click here.
