Taliaferro Resigns as OU Assistant Coach

Men's basketball assistant leaves after three years with program.

NORMAN, Okla. - University of Oklahoma Head Men's Basketball Coach Jeff Capel announced today the resignation of assistant coach Oronde Taliaferro.

Taliaferro, who joined the OU staff in May 2007, has indicated that he plans to focus on other employment opportunities.

A search will begin soon to fill the vacant position.

OU inspires champions today and prepares leaders for tomorrow by enabling its student-athletes to achieve their highest academic, athletic and personal aspirations. The OU Athletics Department sponsors 21 varsity sports with more than 600 student-athletes and is completely self-supporting.
