NORMAN, Okla. -- The sixth-youngest head coach in NCAA Division I, Oklahoma's Jeff Capel had his youngest players provide a spark in the Sooners' second and final exhibition game.

Cade Davis scored 19 points and McDonald's All-American Blake Griffin added 18 as OU led all the way in defeating Division II Fayetteville State, 91-50, Friday night inside Lloyd Noble Center.

As he had in Oklahoma's exhibition win on Wednesday, Griffin paced the Sooners early.   He matched the Broncos' 10 total points through the first 6:53 of the contest.

The 6-10 forward finished the first stanza with 12 points and seven rebounds - two more boards than Fayetteville State's entire team.

The Sooners entered the locker room up 43-25, sparked by a 10-0 run over the final 4:07.  Omar Leary, who started at point guard, was a big factor with his six first-half assists.

Davis rejuvenated Oklahoma's second-half effort, hitting three 3-pointers in a span of just over four minutes as the Sooners proved too much for the Broncos.
 
Six OU players scored at least eight points.

Davis added four boards, two assists and two steals to his 7-of-11 (.636) shooting night.  Five of his field goals came on 3-point attempts. 

With his 18 points, Griffin finished the exhibition schedule with 37 points on 17-of-21 (.809) shooting and 19 rebounds in 45 minutes of action.

Returning from a knee injury that kept him out of the majority of last season, Keith Clark scored 12 points on 3-of-4 shooting and got to the line eight times where he converted six of the attempts.

Oklahoma's defense forced 26 Fayetteville State turnovers and converted them into 28 points.  OU also outboarded the Broncos by a 43-18 margin (17-2 on the offensive glass).

Phillippe Harris scored 13 points off the bench to lead the Broncos, a Division II program from Fayetteville, N.C.

The Sooners have now won 37 of their last 39 exhibition games.

Oklahoma opens its regular season at home against San Francisco Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.
