Scouting San Diego State - 12:02 p.m.
Don't know much about San Diego State? Here's a quick primer. The Aztecs are 22-10 overall and tied for fourth place in the competitive Mountain West Conference (five NCAA Tournament teams) with a 9-7 record. They began the year 11-1 and have gone 11-9 since. Almost unbeatable at home, they were 14-1 on their own court but just 8-9 off of it. This is their fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance and ninth overall. They own a 2-8 record in the Big Dance with both wins coming two years ago when they advanced to the Sweet 16.
A guard-oriented offensive team, SDSU is led by two-time first-team All-Mountain West selection Jamaal Franklin (above), who is the only player in the nation to lead his team in scoring (16.7 ppg), rebounding (9.5 rpg), assists (3.2 apg) and steals (1.4 spg). The 6-5, 205-pounder has scored at least 20 points nine times on the year and has pulled down at least 10 rebounds on 13 occasions. Franklin ranks 15th nationally (sixth among guards) with his 7.1 free throw attempts per game (shooting .771 at the line). Senior guard Chase Tapley is a third-team All-MWC performer who averages 13.5 points and 2.8 assists. He has made a team-high 66 3-pointers on the year (2.1 per game) and is shooting a team-best .379 from long range. Junior guard Xavier Thames averages 9.8 points per contest, but over the last four outings is averaging 15.3.
Head coach Steve Fisher is in his 14th year at SDSU and owns a 280-170 record there. He coached Michigan to the 1989 national title and led UM to championship game appearances in 1992 and '93.

Sooners Working for More - 11:46 p.m.
The Sooners spent today preparing for Friday's second round NCAA Tournament game against San Diego State with a morning practice and evening shootaround. While OU is soaking up its first tournament experience since 2008-09, the Sooners don't want it to end Friday.
"It's kind of weird because it feels like all you've worked for is coming to an end and you get to enjoy it, but at the same time, it's not enough," junior forward Amath M'Baye said. "We want more. We want to be able to win games in these situations and advance as far as possible. We're happy about how far we've gotten, but then again, we want to go further."
Hear more from M'Baye and the Sooners here in Thursday's report:

Only ONE Oklahoma! - 2:48 p.m.
Led by the band, the inside of the Sooners' plane during takeoff was similar to Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium before kickoff with "ones" in the air. As the plane picked up speed, so did the "OOOOOOs" and once the wheels were off the ground the "UUUUs" followed. It might've been a little quieter than the kickoff experience at Owen Field, but cool nonetheless:
We're currently above the clouds heading east to Philadelphia. Look out later for a photo gallery from the day, video content and more.
Headed for the Airport - 12:59 p.m.
Updating live from I-35 North, the Sooners are en route to the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City to depart for Philadelphia, Pa. Check back this evening for a photo gallery and behind-the-scenes video, including via James Fraschilla who is operating one of our cameras.
