Oklahoma Postgame Notes

OU 99, Alcorn State 59

• OU's 50 first-half points were its most points in a first half since the opening game of last season. OU poured in 54 during the opening stanza against Norfolk State on Nov. 11, 2006. That game was also the last time the Sooners scored 99 points in a contest.

• Ten Oklahoma players recorded a field-goal make in the first half, led by Longar Longar's 12 first-half points.  Longar ended the game with 20 points in 20 minutes of action.

• Longar's eight free throw makes marked a career high while his 10 attempts tied a personal best. 

• Tony Crocker scored 16 points on 5-for-6 shooting tonight and is now 14-for-19 (.737) from the field on the year.

• Taylor Griffin is averaging 11.3 points a game on the young season, more than he scored in all but four of his 50 games played prior to this season.  He finished with nine tonight.

• Blake Griffin recorded his second career double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.  Through three games, Griffin is averaging 16.3 points and 9.0 boards.  

• David Godbold dished out a game-high five assists, tying a career high.

• The Oklahoma bench outscored the Braves' reserves 38 to 19. Though three games, OU leads opponents in bench scoring, 90 to 41.

• OU was 34-of-64 (.531) from the field and 6-of-15 (.400) from 3-point distance. The Sooners own a .535 field-goal percentage through three contests (91-of-170) and have connected on 19-of-38 (.500) 3-point attempts over the past two games.

• Six different Sooners made a 3-point basket tonight.

• Oklahoma scored 32 points off of 21 Alcorn State turnovers.

• OU has won 100 of its last 111 (.901) games inside the Lloyd Noble Center and 55 of its last 56 (.982) home non-conference games.

• With its 11-0 scoring run in the second half, Oklahoma has put together a double-digit scoring run in all three contests this year. OU issued a 15-0 run against San Francisco and a 16-0 run versus Denver.
