Postgame Notes

Oklahoma 64, Oklahoma State 61

March 5, 2011

• Senior Cade Davis scored a game-high 22 points in his final game at Lloyd Noble Center to propel Oklahoma to a 64-61 win over Oklahoma State in the regular season finale for both teams.  Davis was 6-for-12 from the field and 10-for-13 from the free throw line (career highs) while adding a team-high six rebounds and three assists in playing all 40 minutes.

• The win snapped an eight-game losing streak and was OU’s seventh straight against the Cowboys in Norman.  The Sooners have won 10 of the last 11 Bedlam battles at Lloyd Noble Center.

• After going 36-for-44 at the free throw line in the first Bedlam meeting on Feb. 5 in Stillwater, OSU went 17-for-19 today.  OU made 23 of its 29 free throw attempts in the rematch.

• Freshman guard Cameron Clark, who didn’t score against the Cowboys in Stillwater, finished with 15 points today on 4-for-9 field goal and 6-for-7 free throw shooting.  He added four rebounds and did not commit a turnover in his 38 minutes.

• Sophomore guard Steven Pledger came off the bench to contribute 11 points, his most in five games.  Pledger was 3-for-6 from 3-point range with two of those treys coming in the game’s final 6:45.  He was OU’s only bench player to score.

• Sophomore forward Andrew Fitzgerald entered the game averaging 13.2 points per game on the year but was held to five.  However, he contributed five rebounds and a career-high-tying three assists while taking three charges.

• After giving up just two offensive rebounds in the first half, OU gave up nine in the second half that led to 10 second-chance points for the Cowboys.

• OU registered 10 assists on its 18 field goals while OSU had six assists on its 21 baskets.

• The Sooners led by as many as 11 in the first half (13-2 at 12:57 mark), while OSU’s largest lead was three in the second half (35-32 at the 19:35 mark).

• The Sooners improved to 127-93 all-time against OSU and to 79-26 in Norman.  Jeff Capel is 7-5 against the Cowboys (5-0 in Norman).
