Postgame Notes

Colorado 72, OU 58

Feb. 9, 2008

• A winner of 43 of its last 48 overall games against Colorado entering the day, Oklahoma dropped to 0-3 in their last three visits to Boulder with its 72-58 loss.

• Colorado shot OU opponent season highs of .606 from the field and .636 from 3-point range.  The Buffaloes also went 25-for-29 (.862) from the free throw line.

• OU suffered its second worst defeat of the year despite attempting 27 more field goals than Colorado.  The Sooners were 24-for-60 from the floor while the Buffaloes were 20-for-33.  CU's 33 field goal attempts matched an OU opponent season low (Denver).

• The Sooners' 17 offensive rebounds were their second most of the season (18 at TCU), but they were only able to convert them into 10 points.

• Freshman Blake Griffin scored a game-high 25 points and handed out a career-high five assists while also grabbing five rebounds.  He was 11-for-17 from the field and has now scored at least 15 points in nine of his last 10 games (not including the Jan. 14 Kansas contest when he played only five minutes before getting injured).

• In his six full Big 12 games, Blake Griffin is averaging 18.2 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists while shooting .606 from the field.

• Griffin's 25 points were his third most in a game this season and second most in a Big 12 contest (he netted 27 against Kansas State and 26 versus Mount St. Mary's).

Tony Crocker recorded his ninth game this year of at least three 3-point makes.  He was 3-for-9 and finished with nine points, four rebounds and three assists.  Crocker is now shooting a team-high .447 from 3-point range on the season.

• OU's .154 (4-for-24) 3-point effort was its second worst of the season.  Over the last two games, the Sooners are 10-for-50 (.200) from long distance.

• Oklahoma's eight Big 12 opponents have shot an incredible .836 from the free throw line against the Sooners (133-for-159).  OU is shooting .662 from the foul line in Big 12 play (94-for-142).
